BI DNA: INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN CODE FOR BI GROUP

The competition was organized by BI Product together with Urban strategies company CENTER LLC, acting as the professional organizer, ensuring a structured and internationally rigorous process.

This large-scale initiative by BI Group aimed to develop a unified architectural and design code for future projects, creating a recognizable, scalable, and functional “brand DNA” that reflects BI Group’s values while enhancing urban life.

Over 42 companies from 25 countries participated, forming 11 consortia and 16 individual submissions, making this a truly global design challenge.

Competition results:

1st place - CITY META LAB (Italy & UAE)

2nd place - KCAP (Netherlands)

3rd place - Schematic Spaces (South Africa) + DA Lab (Russia)

The winning concept will be piloted in BI Group’s Family City project in Astana and is planned to scale across the developer’s international projects.
